King Juncker I of Europe.
I see that EU boss Jean-Claude Juncker has recently awarded himself an increase in his annual salary of €10,000, and will trouser a Christmas bonus of €5,000. Any job where you can name your own price seems pretty good to me!
As Nigel Farage said "The EU is the opposite of Meritocracy; it's where people get rewarded for failure".
Jean-Claude has recently been instructing EU leaders NOT to let their countrymen have an in/out referendum, because voters will vote LEAVE. That figures!
Juncker is a clown and a drunk. The crap that comes out of his mouth is unbelievable. Instead of being laughed out of the eu he's laughing his way to the bank
ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE is being carried out today on our area's power supply, so I shall have no electricity this morning. I hope to make contact later!
The general perception in developing countries is that the people in leadership roles in the developed world, be it political, corporate or religious leadership, are very honest and upright.
With time that view is being debunked. Leaders seem to be the same everywhere and in every field.
Austria just voted a new president. They already have 3 in their parliament plus the 3 or maybe it's 4 that the EU have so now Austrians have 8 or 9 presidents. And also they gave 100 euro bonus to pensioners this year for the first time, even though unemployment has gone up month on month for 5 years. Seems like living in dreamland to me.
Amen, dear Cro. For your younger readers embarking on a life dedicated to poverty, simplicity and the creative arts, could you say a few words in a post one day about how you survived with children, dogs, etc until you could earn a living from your painting? Thanks!

Optimistic Cro!
The difference between an optimist and a pessimist, is that the optimist enjoys himself whilst waiting for the inevitable! I AM that optimist!
This is a daily, optimistic, 'photos and comments' blog. I make no judgements (only occasionally), just notes. If you wish to comment in any way at all, please feel free. Everything and everyone is very welcome.
I was born just south of London, but for the past 45 years I've lived in S W France. I am a painter by profession, and writer by desire. Lady Magnon and I live in an ancient cottage, in a tiny village, in perfectly tranquil countryside. We have a vegetable garden called 'Haddock's' (this may crop up from time to time), a Border Collie/Black Lab' cross called Bok, a cat called Freddie, plenty of fruit trees, and a view that takes the breath away. I try to treat our planet with respect, and encourage others to do likewise (without preaching).
Contentment is a glass of red, a plate of charcuterie, and a slice of good country bread. Perfect!
"... people get rewarded for failure". That is, presumably, why Farage still draws an EU MP's salary.
ReplyDeleteU
The whole point of UKIP was to quit the EU; I would call that total success for Farage.

ReplyDeleteSadly so.

If want a quick conversation in London ask the culturatii chucking their toys out of the pram to talk about him...
ReplyDeleteIndeed Cro, Farage is the only MEP who has delivered on his campaign promises.
ReplyDeleteI am amazed someone didn't deck him.

ReplyDeleteWe are all in a world of trouble with these people running things.
ReplyDeleteMore and more I don't listen to the news. Of course it is pure denial but the sand covering my head feels rather nice. Exfoliative even
