The Pinnacle of Success.

The roof looks as if it's finished; but, alas, it's not. It's just that I'm so pleased to have positioned the pinnacle that I thought I'd post this picture.

Now then Cro, back up that ladder and finish the back!!

  1. It's been quite fascinating watching your journey with this - and it looks very good.

There are windows, aren't there? Or do you pull up the drawbridge and fire arrows from the cross slit?
    :)

  2. Quite magnificent...and if you hadn't have told us Cro, we would never have know the back isn't done yet.
Looks like you are enjoying some pretty spectacular weather in your part of the world too.
I don't know if you remember, but a few weeks back I asked for your advice for daughter's trip to the Avignon area. She's just back after visiting L'isle sur-la-Sourge and the Luberon Valley and is totally besotted! Is already talking about retiring there.

  3. Good for her J; the Luberon is really beautiful. Actually I've run out of tiles, and have just phoned my man, luckily he has a few in stock so will recommence tomorrow. Hopefully all will be done before the weekend! Then it's CHAMPAGNE for a month (or two)!!!!!

  4. Kate. Yes there are windows. The opening you can see is actually a window, and there's another huge 'picture' window facing due south across the open countryside. The arrow slit is simply a warning!

  5. Kudos!! It looks fantastic. I was wondering how things were coming. (I'm always talking about this guy I know in France who's building a tower.)

  6. I'm so pleased you got the thingymebob fixed on the top. But I guess you can't have the topping out ceremony until the rest of the tiles are on.
